Hey there! I'm Jessie. Welcome to my blog!

I'm a nineteen year old, Christian girl who lives in Texas but was born in Louisiana. I know who I am and where I'm going. I love to read & would love to write my own book one day. The people who inspire me are Jesus Christ, Amy Carmichael, Robin Gunn, and my parents. One day I'm going to be a missionary. I don't know what that looks like yet, but I'm waiting on God's timing, as hard as that is. I hope you enjoy my blog! I'm writing this with the hopes that you will be inspired and challenged by my experiences. I'm sharing my heart with you, so feel free to share yours! I want to be challenged by my readers. I'm very short. 4" 11' to be almost exact.
I'm very girly
I'm also very nerdy
I love Zac Efron & all things HSM (I guess I never phased out of that...)
I frequently read one book a day
I love Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables, and all things Jane Austen
I am going to Houston Baptist University & majoring in Christianity (Theology)
I love making people super special on their birthday. When I write letters, it's literally a novel, and it's covered in my favorite quotes
My favorite authors are Robin Gunn, Erynn Mangum, Lisa Bergren, and Karen Kingsbury (check out my "Wholesome Book Suggestions" page)
I have a bad weakness for sweets. It's worse than the average female
I've never dated anyone ---- well this fact isn't true anymore.
I have one younger brother and sister
My favorite TV shows are Once Upon A Time, When Calls the Heart, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Arrow, and The Office
I was in the Varsity choir at my high school
I led a Christian club at my school called "Relent: Let Go & Let God"
I try to tell myself I'm shy, but I'm really not
I can't dance. I'm the most awkward dancer ever.
I love old stuff (music, movies, etc) Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, Shirley Temple, & Julie Andrews are some of my favorites <3
When I get to know someone I want to get right to the deep stuff and then small talk. I find that after I've talked deep with someone, the small talk isn't really small talk anymore, it's deeper. I'm the most awkward at trying to small talk with someone when I don't know them.
I've always wanted to be apart of a worship team, but I've never done it.
I was the choir chaplain at my school and I absolutely loved it. It has gave me the opportunity to bring Jesus to my school in a new and bigger way.
I want my life to make a difference.
